The Narrow Path to Life

Matthew 7:13-14 Enter through the narrow gate, because broad is the gate
and spacious is the road that leads to destruction, and there are many
who enter through it, because narrow is the gate and constricted is the
road that leads to life, and there are few who find it! (LEB)

Just exactly, what is Jesus saying here?
Jesus is talking about the narrow path that leads to life.

But, everyone listening to him is already alive, right? Aren’t they?

If this is so, then what kind of life is he talking about?
Then on the other hand, the only alternative path that Jesus gives as an option is the broad road which leads to destruction.
If this is true, then what is it exactly that gets destroyed?
And what does that destruction consist of?

Not until you understand how Jesus consistently used these three Greek words, psuche, zoe and appolumi, can you begin to clearly see what Jesus is saying here.
